Notice of Public Hearings to Discuss Proposed Subdivision Ordinance Town of Oakland
Notice is hereby given that Public Hearings for the Town of Oakland in Burnett County in the State of Wisconsin, for transaction of business as is by law required or permitted to be transacted at such meeting, will be held immediately preceding the Regular Town Board Meeting at:
Webster Fire Hall

January 13, 2022 and February 10, 2022
6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The intent of these hearings will be to discuss and solicit pubic input regarding the proposed Subdivision Ordinance currently under consideration for adoption by the Town Board.
The intent of this Subdivision Ordinance is to reasonably regulate the subdivision of land to promote public health, safety and general welfare; to further the orderly layout and use of land; to prevent the overcrowding of land; to lessen congestion in the streets and highways; to provide for adequate light and air; to facilitate adequate provision for water, sewerage and other public requirements; to provide for proper ingress and egress; and to promote proper monumenting of land subdivided and conveyancing by accurate legal description… To accomplish this purpose the Town Board may plan for the physical development and subdivision of lands within the Town as set forth in this ordinance and shall ensure subdivisions are consistent and compliant with the Oakland Comprehensive Land Use Plan as adopted.
