The Oakland Town Board is seeking an additional member to fill the vacancy created by the recent resignation of one of the members of the Land Use Planning Committee.  The purpose of the Committee is to help the Oakland Town Board better communicate the Town’s position on proposed land uses to the Burnett County Land Use Committee.  The Land Use Planning Committee includes five volunteer members; all members must be taxpayers in the Town of Oakland.  It is preferred, but not mandatory, that one be a non-resident landowner.  If you are interested in further information or in volunteering, please contact Town Chairman, Wayne Larrabee, at 715-866-4444.
