The Wisconsin Elections Commission is Encouraging Voters to Utilize Absentee Voting Options in Response to COVID-19 Virus Concerns — Online Voter Registration Open Until March 30th

BREAKING NEWS:  As a result of the Federal Court Decision issued Friday night, the deadlinen for online voter registration for the April 7th Spring Election and Presidential Preference Vote in the State of Wisconsin has been extended until March 30th.  To register online, simply to go myvote.wi.gov and follow the instructions on the screen.  As indicated below, this is also the easiest way to request an absentee ballot.

The easiest way to vote absentee is to apply using the My Vote Wisconsin website (myvotewi.gov); following the directions on the website will generate an email to the Town Clerk who will mail your absentee ballot to you within 24 hours.  You will need to submit a copy of your Wisconsin Photo ID with the online application or include it with your ballot when you return it.

If completing the application online is not an option, you can contact the Town Clerk to request an application be mailed to you or you can schedule an appointment with the Clerk to come into her office to complete your application; if you choose the latter option, you will be able to cast your absentee ballot at the same time.

Please keep in mind that all absentee ballots must be received at the polling place (Oakland Town Hall) no later than 8:00 p.m. on election day.  Online applications for the Spring Election and Presidential Preference Vote election on April 7th must be submitted by April 2nd.  Any ballots mailed back to the Clerk must arrive at the Post Office by April 7th.

If you have questions, contact your Town Clerk, Sherril Anderson, at 715-866-8213.
