Notice of Public Hearings to Discuss Proposed Campground Ordinance Town of Oakland

Notice is hereby given that Public Hearings for the Town of Oakland in Burnett County in the State of Wisconsin, for transaction of business as is by law required or permitted to be transacted at such meeting, will be held immediately preceding the Regular Town Board Meeting at:

Webster Fire Hall

7420 Main St W, Webster WI 54893

April 21, 2022 and May 12, 2022

6:30 – 7:00 p.m.

 

The intent of these hearings will be to discuss and solicit public input regarding the proposed Campground Ordinance currently under consideration for adoption by the Town Board.

The provisions of this ordinance are proposed for the purpose of protecting the public health, safety and general welfare of residents and transients in the Town of Town of Oakland, Burnett County, to prevent overcrowding and unsanitary conditions on real estate and to establish minimum requirements for the establishment and operation of campgrounds in the Town of Oakland. The standards and requirements of this ordinance are intended to provide a wholesome community environment, adequate emergency and public services, and the conservation of natural resources, resulting in a desirable recreational facility.
